We’re always on the lookout for solid, affordable sneakers—and the Nike Uplift SC caught our eye right away. Priced at around $70 (or ₱3,500), it promised comfort, a sharp look, and everyday versatility. So we gave it a go.
We first spotted it on the Nike app. The color blocking was bold, especially in the Black/Total Orange colorway. We ordered online from the Nike App and a few days later, it arrived (alongside a pair of Black Cement Jordan 3s—let us know if you want that review too). This isn’t a performance shoe. Nike calls it a “sports culture” sneaker, something you wear before or after a workout. And that feels spot on. It’s a great daily pair for running errands, hitting the mall, or walking to work.

The secret is Phylon, Nike’s proprietary EVA foam. It’s not as plush as React or ZoomX, but it’s stable, light, and supportive. On soft foams, your foot’s smaller muscles have to work harder—even when you’re just walking. Phylon gives them a break. That makes the Uplift SC a smart recovery option, or just an ideal go-to for busy days. Up top, the shoe uses breathable mesh and textile. It’s easy to clean and looks sporty. The sculpted midsole adds some visual energy, and we really like the way the orange midsole stripe wraps into the upper. It’s a surprisingly sharp detail on a budget sneaker.
Fit-wise, it runs true to size, though there’s a bit of room if you want to size down for a sleeker look. We’d recommend sticking with your normal size to allow space for foot expansion during long walks. The Uplift SC may not have flashy tech, but it nails the basics: comfort, support, and style. For the price, it’s one of those shoes you end up wearing more than you expect. And hey, if you can make the outfit work—go for it.
