Legendary graffiti artist Stash makes a remarkable comeback with Nike, reimagining his iconic 2006 Air Max design. This refreshed retro style commemorates over two decades of collaboration between Nike and Stash, who was the first artist to ever place his unique touch on a Nike silhouette. The modern iteration incorporates upgraded materials, blending genuine and synthetic leather with durable textiles.
Enhancing this ’95 model, Stash introduces a blend of colors including black, Midnight Navy, Obsidian, Midnight Fog, Varsity Royal, and Harbour Blue, while the fused top layer provides a sleek, cohesive look. Unlike the original version, this design features exposed webbing lace loops that pass through open eyelets instead of being hidden beneath the upper. The speckled midsole is equipped with Max Air cushioning for exceptional comfort, no matter where you wear them. Additionally, the zipped tongue comes with interchangeable hook-and-loop patches, allowing you to customize your style.
The original 2006 release showcased a nearly complete suede application across the Air Max 95’s anatomy-inspired upper panel. In contrast, this retro version features a half-and-half design, incorporating suede on the midsole that transitions to synthetic leather and textiles at the top. Another significant distinction from the original is the lace loops, which utilize an exposed webbing style that threads through the eyelets, rather than the standard concealed eyestays found on the Air Max 95.
But that’s not all. While the original’s tongues displayed typical Air Max graphics, this version boasts Stash’s signature on the right shoe’s tongue and his arrow logo on the left. Additionally, his repeating fat cap motif is featured on a section of the outsole (and rest assured, it also appears on the insoles). High-visibility reflective elements are present on both the tongue and heel, and the box adds a final touch with a custom graffiti print on the inside of its lid.
